This Year is different... again!
The global COVID19 pandemic has impacted every aspect of life this year, and Salem is no different! The City of Salem has taken many health and safety precautions to protect its residents and tourists, and we will continue to implement safety procedures in our shop for the foreseeable future.
In Store Policies and procedures
We are open daily for walk-in shopping! Our fully vaccinated staff is eager to help you. To ensure a safe and comfortable experience for both you and our staff, please adhere to the following guidelines.
- Salem currently has a city-wide indoor mask mandate in place. As such, face masks are required while shopping in-store. Anyone over the age of 2, no matter their vaccination status, is required to wear a mask indoors. Face masks must cover your nose and mouth at all times, and must be of an approved material.
- We will be keeping a reduced capacity in our shop for the foreseeable future, limiting crowds to 12 customers at a time. If you are traveling with a large party, please only come into the store with those who are also shopping themselves.
- Before entering, please check in with our staff and let them know the size of your party. If we are at capacity, you will be asked to wait until we can accommodate you. Please maintain physical distancing practices while in line.
- Food and drink (yes, this includes candy and ice cream!) are not currently allowed inside our store. If you have a drink, you will be asked to leave it in a designated space near the exit.
- To allow for extra physical distancing between parties, pets are not allowed inside our store.
- Guests are asked to please limit their visit to 20 minutes if there are people waiting outside.
- Be nice. Failure to comply with our rules or any abuse to our staff will have zero tolerance and will result in you being asked to leave the store. It has been a tough year for many of us and we're all in this together.
If you are feeling unwell in any way, please cancel your trip to Salem. We know it's hard to cancel plans that you were looking forward to, but Salem is nearly 400 years old and isn't going anywhere. We're looking forward to a wonderful season with all of you!
